What is Muay Thai?

Muay Thai, (pronounced muueee tie) has been described as one of the most effective striking arts in history. Kickboxing, on the other hand, often confused with Muay Thai, is a combat sport that uses punches and kicks as its main tools in combat.

Although Muay Thai shares some similarities with Kickboxing, it is a separate martial art with its own culture, history, and lineage.

Muay Thai is known as the "Art of 8 Limbs.” While it is the national sport of Thailand today, it was developed as a means for the Thai people to defend themselves and their king against neighboring intruders during the 18th century.
